For the second year in a row, 220 Communications fundraiser “Pampering For A Purpose” will recognize a local not for profit agency making a difference in the community. The event, which provides attendees with a number of spa services, will be held Saturday May 17th at the Ven Sherrod Image Gallery 1906 ½ South Halsted in Chicago from 3PM -7PM. Admission is $15 and the event is open to the public.
Attendees will receive complimentary spa services from a number of participating companies. Services include hand and foot treatments, facials, chair massages and makeovers by professional makeup artists. Refreshments will be served and there will be select vendors providing unique products and services for purchases. Also each attendee will be entered into a special prize drawing which includes a resort vacation stay.
A portion of the proceeds from “Pampering For A Purpose” will benefit Connections For Abused Women and Their Children (CAWC). Formerly Chicago Abused Women Coalition, the organization is committed to ending domestic violence. Using a self-help, empowerment approach, they provide shelter for women and children, and counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline for people affected by domestic violence. The CAWC works tirelessly for social change through education, service collaboration and institutional advocacy.
